Evaluation of drugs candidates in CD4+ T cell-inducing IBD models.
A) CD4+CD45Rbhi T cells were sorted from the splenocytes of C57BL/6 mice and injected into Rag-/- mice to induce inflammation in the large intestine. The anti-inflammatory efficacy of protein drug candidate DMB3 was tested.
B) Body weight of each mice was monitored and normalized to their initial weight.
C) Disease activity index of each mice was scored.
D) Lamina propria cells isolated from the large intestine of each mice were stained for different cell surface markers. Percentages of different cell populations were analyzed by FACS.
